Websites for tradies that make the phone ring
Websites for tradies don't need to be fancy. They need to load fast on a phone, show up when someone in your area searches for your trade, and make it dead easy to ring you. Most tradie sites miss at least one of those.
Two jobs. Get found, get the call.
- Your phone number at the top of every page, tappable, not hidden in an image.
- A page for each service you actually want more of, written in the words your customers search.
- Your Google reviews and real job photos, so the visitor trusts you before they ring.
- Fast on a phone on mobile data. Most of your visitors are standing in a driveway, not at a desk.
The SEO is in the build, not bolted on.
Every page gets a proper title, a heading that matches what people search, local business schema and a sitemap Google can read. It's linked to your Google Business Profile so the two back each other up. We measure it with Google's own Lighthouse tool before it goes live, and the score is yours to check any time.
Looked after, no lock-in.
- Hosting and updates handled. No plugins for you to manage.
- A quote form that tells you the moment someone fills it in.
- Changes to text, photos and services whenever you need them.
- No lock-in. Cancel any time.
One page per job you want more of.
A single services page listing eight things can't rank for any of them. Each service you want more of gets its own page with its own heading, written the way customers search it. A plumber who wants hot water work gets a hot water page. An electrician who wants switchboards gets a switchboard page. Those pages are what show up when someone searches the job, not just your business name.
The usual reasons a site is slow.
A slow site loses visitors before they see your phone number. Every site we build is checked on Google's own Lighthouse test on a phone before it goes live.
- Giant photos straight off a phone, uploaded without being resized.
- A page builder theme loading code for features you don't use.
- Chat widgets, booking widgets and tracking scripts all loading before the page does.
- Cheap shared hosting that takes seconds to respond.
The site and the profile back each other up.
Your Google Business Profile and your website should say the same things: the same business name, the same phone number, the same services and the same areas. When they agree, Google is more confident about who you are and where you work. The site links to your profile, the profile links to the right page on the site, and your reviews show on both.
- Business name, phone and service areas matched exactly to your profile.
- Local business schema on the site, pointing at the same details.
- Each service page linked from the matching service on your profile.
The first month a new site is live.
- The sitemap goes into Google Search Console so Google knows every page exists.
- Each service page is submitted for indexing, so it can show up in days instead of weeks.
- Your Google Business Profile is pointed at the right page for each service.
- Your review link goes on the site, ready to add to your invoices and texts so new reviews keep coming in.
- We check which searches the site is starting to appear for, and adjust the pages that are close.
What a website on its own won't do.
A new site doesn't rank overnight, and it won't fix a Google Business Profile that's half filled in or has six reviews. For most local trades the profile and the reviews bring in the first calls, and the site backs them up and catches the searches the profile can't. If your profile needs work first, we'll say so before you pay for a site.
Straight answers.
How much does a website for a tradie cost?
It depends on how many services and pages you need. Get in touch and you'll get a fixed quote in writing before any work starts.
Do I need a website if I have a Google Business Profile?
The profile gets you found and gets you calls. A website backs it up, ranks for searches the profile can't, and is somewhere to send people from ads. If you can only do one first, do the profile.
Will my website show up on Google?
It's built to. Each service gets its own page, the technical side is done properly and it's linked to your profile. Ranking still takes time and depends on your area and competition.
How long does a tradie website take to build?
Most sites are ready in a couple of weeks once we have your services, photos and logo. The slow part is usually getting good photos of your work.
Can you rebuild my existing website?
Yes. If you already rank for something, we keep those pages and their addresses so you don't lose what's working.
What do I need to give you?
A list of the services you want more of, the areas you work in, photos of your work, and access to your domain. We write the rest with you.
Do you write the words on the website?
Yes. We write each page with you, in plain language, using the words your customers actually search. You read it and change anything that doesn't sound like you.
Can I update the website myself?
You can send changes any time and we make them. Most tradies would rather spend their evenings doing anything else.
