Speed is the whole game

A slow site loses the job before it finishes loading.

An emergency search happens on mobile data, often inside a house with bad reception. Every extra second is people pressing back. We measure the load time with Google's own Lighthouse tool before launch and again after, and you get the score to check yourself.

Every site we build is tested on throttled mobile data before it goes live, and we hand over the Lighthouse score so you can check it any time.
The money jobs

Hot water and blocked drains each get their own page.

Those two searches carry most of the urgent money, and they are searched as separate phrases by people who are ready right now. A site with one services page cannot rank for either.

  • A hot water page covering replacement, repair and the brands you install.
  • A blocked drains page that mentions the camera and the jetter, because that is what people search.
  • A burst pipe and leak page written for someone who needs you in the next hour.
  • Gas fitting kept separate, with your gas licence on it.
Service area

The suburbs you actually drive to, listed as text.

A map image tells Google nothing. The suburbs you cover go on the page as readable text and link through to the jobs you do there, so a search that includes a suburb name has something to match. This is also what stops you getting called out ninety minutes away for a job you never wanted.

After it goes live

Hosted, updated, and yours to leave.

  • Hosting and updates handled, nothing for you to maintain.
  • New photos and services added whenever you send them.
  • Month to month. No contract, and the site is yours if you go.
Where the calls come from

The map box takes the emergency call before your site does.

Someone with water coming through the ceiling searches, taps the first result in the map box, and rings. They often never reach a website at all. So the profile and the site have to be treated as one thing, with the same business name, the same address format and the same number on both. Google compares them, and a mismatch is one of the most common reasons a profile sits below competitors with less work behind them.

The site then does the job the map box cannot: proving you handle this specific problem. Someone who taps through from a hot water search should land on a hot water page, not a home page they have to navigate. That single difference is usually worth more than any visual change to the site.

Every build includes matching the site's business details to the Google Business Profile, character for character, before launch.
Honest limits

What a new site will not fix.

If your reviews are thin, a new site will not outrank a plumber with four hundred of them. Reviews are a bigger lever on the map box than anything on your website, and the fix is the review system, not the build. We will say so rather than sell you a site that cannot win the search you actually want.

A site also cannot answer the phone at 2am. If after-hours calls go to voicemail, every dollar spent ranking for emergency searches is handing jobs to whoever picks up second. Sorting out who answers comes before sorting out how the site looks.

Questions

Straight answers.

How fast does the site need to be?

Under two seconds on mobile data is the target, because an emergency search is almost never on wi-fi. We test it throttled before launch.

Should the number be a button or text?

Both. A tappable button at the top and the number as readable text, so it works whether someone taps it or copies it into the dialler.

Can I show which brands of hot water unit I install?

Yes, and you should. People search the brand name plus their suburb, and a page naming the brands you carry is often the easiest first ranking to win.

Do I need a separate page for every suburb?

Not to start. Suburbs as text on the service pages does most of the work. Separate suburb pages only earn their place once the main pages rank. Thin suburb pages with the name swapped are the fastest way to get the whole set ignored, so they only go up where you genuinely work and can say something true about the area.
